I suspect that just about any boy mom will tell you that the dinosaur phase is inevitable and will make a significant impact on just about everything in your home. With my oldest the dinosaur phase did not really hit until he was about four years old, making my middle guy just a little over two years old at the time. Dinosaur fever has spread fast and furiously in our house, affecting the younger siblings earlier and earlier. I can't say that dinosaurs are one of my favorite topics and growing up one of three girls didn't exactly give me a ton of exposure to this phenomenon, which is why I've compiled a list of our favorite dinosaur resources for those parents who find themselves with dinosaur enthusiasts of their own.
I have always been a morning person. Sleeping past 7:30 am was considered late even before having kids, which is why I am always up for an early morning adventure. Before kids it was all about the early morning run or long walk with the dog and now that my youngest is almost twenty months old I am enjoying these summer weekends of planning a morning outing at the last minute. This week it was a trip to a local sunflower maze!

As a parent there are a few products I rely on every single day. With three kids to pile in the car for drop off, pick up, swim lessons, play dates, and more our car seats get the most use by a long shot. That is why car seat safety has been one of the areas I have researched the most since becoming a parent and a place where I don't compromise on quality. With our first son we looked at numerous models focusing on side impact protection and safe installation. Now that our family has grown these safety elements remain most important on our list yet it is amazing how much technology has changed in the past six years and now space is also an issue for our family as we look to buckle three children into the car.
You don't have to give up summer vacation early in order to prepare for the start of school; however, taking a little time to plan ahead will make the transition easier for both parents and children. To help prepare their children for a fabulous start to the school year I have compiled a list of 5 helpful tips. The focus is on keeping food-allergic children safe, yet the strategies apply to all children heading back to school.
Selecting an appropriate movie for your child can be difficult or even overwhelming for some parents. There is a lot more than just knowing the rating of the movie and these tips are designed to help parents determine what is in alignment with their personal guidelines.
Summer is approaching faster than you might think. Before you know it the kids will be wrapping up the school year and eager to make the most of their time away from the classroom. Are you ready?
